A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA RATIFYING THE CITY MANAGER'S
EXECUTION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF SPACE
AT AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION TO BE USED BY THE
STRATEGIC INVESTIGATIONS UNIT OF THE MIAMI BEACH
POLICE DEPARTMENT AS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES.
WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of space to be used
as administrative offices by the Strategic Investigations Unit
located outside the police station; and
WHEREAS, a suitable undisclosed location for operating said
administrative offices has been identified; and
WHEREAS, the monthly rental fee for use of the premises has
been offered and agreed to in the sum of Four Thousand Dollars and
no/100 ($4 , 000. 00) ; and
WHEREAS, a term of three years has been agreed upon; and
WHEREAS, The City Manager has executed a lease agreement for
use of the premises and the City Attorney' s Office has approved it
as to form.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. The City Commission hereby ratifies the City Manager's
execution of the Lease Agreement for use of space at an
undisclosed location to be used by the Strategic
Investigations Unit of the Miami Beach Police Department
as administrative offices, at a monthly rental fee of
Four Thousand Dollars and no/100 ($4, 000. 00) for a three
year term.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 11th day of Septemberr, 1991.

SUBJECT: LEASE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF SPACE BY THE MIAMI BEACH
POLICE DEPARTMENT STRATEGIC INVESTIGATIONS UNIT.
BACKGROUND:
The City Commission acknowledges the need which exists within the
Miami Beach Police Department for administrative office space
located outside of the police station to be utilized by the
Strategic Investigations Unit. Suitable office space has been
located and a monthly rental fee agreed upon.
ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Commission ratify the City Manager' s execution of a
lease at an undisclosed location, at a monthly rental fee of $4 , 000
and for a term of three years.
