A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD ON THE FOLLOWING
AMENDMENTS TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 89-2665: AMENDING
SECTION 3 DEFINITIONS SUBSECTION 3-2 ENTITLED "TERMS
DEFINED" BY ADDING A DEFINITION OF BUILDING SITE AND
AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF LOT WIDTH; AMENDING SECTION 5
GENERAL PROVISIONS SUBSECTION 5-8 ENTITLED "DIVISION OF
LOT/LOT-SPLIT" ADDING CRITERIA FOR REVIEWING APPLICATIONS
FOR DIVISION OF LOTS OR LOT SPLITS AND ESTABLISHING AN
APPLICATION FEE; AMENDING SECTION 6 SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT
REGULATIONS SUBSECTION 6-1 ENTITLED "RS-1,RS-2 ,RS-3,RS-4
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS" TO EXCLUDE SOME LOTS
FRONTING ON CUL-DE-SACS AND CIRCULAR STREETS FROM LOT
WIDTH REQUIREMENTS; ADDING TO SECTION 17 PLANNING BOARD
SUBSECTION 17-6 ENTITLED "DIVISION OF LOTS/LOT SPLIT
APPEAL PROCEDURES" ESTABLISHING APPEAL PROCEDURE, FEES,
AND REVIEW GUIDELINES FOR DIVISION OF LOTS/LOT SPLIT;
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP DOWNZONING SPECIFIED LOTS FROM
ONE ZONING CLASSIFICATION TO ANOTHER; PROVIDING FOR
INCLUSION IN THE ZONING ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR A
REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT,
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach
held a public hearing on August 27, 1991 and voted unanimously (7-
0) to recommend in favor of amendments to Zoning Ordinance 89-2665;
and,
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly
transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 14 , entitled
"Changes and Amendments" of Zoning Ordinance No. 89-2665, and this
resolution calls for a public hearing before the City Commission to
hear the Planning Board' s recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public
hearing for consideration of the aforementioned amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance is hereby called to be held before the City
Commission in its chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall, 1700
Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, October 9, 1991,
beginning no sooner than 5: 00 P.M. ; and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to publish appropriate Public Notice of the
said Public Hearing in a newspaper of general circulation of the
City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested parties
will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 11th day of September, 1991.
