A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA ADOPTING THE
CERTIFICATE OF THE RESULTS OF THE NOVEMBER 19,
1991 MIAMI BEACH RUN-OFF ELECTION FOR THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, ADJOURNING THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH CANVASSING BOARD FOR THE NOVEMBER 19,
1991 RUN-OFF ELECTION, AND DECLARING
CANDIDATES ELECTED.
WHEREAS, on November 6, 1991, the City Clerk, City
Manager and City Attorney were designated by the Miami Beach City
Commission to act as its Canvassing Board representatives regarding
the conduct of the November 19, 1991 Run-Off Election for the City
of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk, City Manager and City Attorney
acted as the Commission representatives and were present at the
tabulation of the returns of the Run-Off Election as duly conducted
by the Elections Department of Metropolitan Dade County; and
WHEREAS, the results of the November 19, 1991 Run-Off
Election have been certified; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Run-Off Election the candidates
for Mayor and City Commissioner of the City of Miami Beach, Groups
IV and V have received the number of votes cast as reflected more
specifically within the Certification of Election attached hereto
as Composite Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that having canvassed the returns
of the November 19, 1991 Run-Off Election of the City of Miami
Beach, it hereby adopts the certificate as to the results of said
Run-Off Election and it is hereby ordered that the Certificate of
Elections and this Resolution be recorded in the minutes of the
meeting as a permanent record of the results of said election; be
it further resolved that by adoption of this Resolution the City-
Commission appointed committee acting as Canvassing Board for the
City of Miami Beach composed of the City Clerk, City Manager and
City Attorney has discharged its duties for the November 19, 1991
City of Miami Beach Run-Off Election and said committee is hereby
adjourned; and be it further resolved that as a result of the
November 5, 1991 City of Miami Beach General Election and the
November 19 , 1991 City of Miami Beach Run-Off Election the
following candidates for Mayor and City Commissioner Groups I, II,
III, IV, V, and VI are hereby declared elected:
for Mayor: Seymour "Si" Gelber
for City Commissioner Group I: Neisen Kasdin
for City Commissioner Group II: Sy Eisenberg
for City Commissioner Group III: Abraham "Abe" Resnick
for City Commissioner Group IV: David Pearlson
for City Commissioner Group V: Susan Gottlieb
for City Commissioner Group VI: Martin Shapiro
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of November
1991.

We, the City Clerk, City Manager and the City Attorney of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, acting as designees of the Miami Beach City Commission and
serving as the City of Miami Beach Canvassing Board, do hereby certify that we
have made an examination of the returns of the Run-off Election held in Miami
Beach, Florida, on November 19, 1991, as conducted by the Clerks and Inspectors
who were duly appointed by the Metropolitan Dade County Supervisor of Elections;
and as reflected by certification received from the Supervisor of Elections of
Dade County, Florida; such examination having been made solely, exclusively and
entirely from such returns and certification; and DO HEREBY CERTIFY that as a
result of said examination we have found and DO HEREBY DECLARE the results of
said election to be as follows:
THAT there were a total of 13,402 votes cast.
THAT:
FOR MAYOR
8,180 votes were cast for SEYMOUR "SI" GELBER
4,883 votes were cast for BARRY KUTUN
FOR COMMISSIONER GROUP IV
5,279 votes were cast for JACK HARTLEY
6,658 votes were cast for DAVID PEARLSON
FOR COMMISSIONER GROUP V
5,229 votes were cast for DAVID DERMER
7,344 votes were cast for SUSAN GOTTLIEB
