A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
ABOLISHING THE ART DECO DEVELOPERS
ADVISORY BOARD, TWENTY-FIRST STREET
RECREATION CENTER ADVISORY BOARD AND
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH YOUNG
PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE BY REPEALING
RESOLUTIONS 86-18367, 86-18487, 87-
18986 AND 89-19605.
WHEREAS, the Art Deco Devlopers Advisory Board was established
by Resolution No. 87-18986, the Twenty-First Street Recreation
Center Advisory Board was established by Resolution No. 89-19605,
and the City of Miami Beach Young Professionals Committee was
established by Resolution No. 86-18367 as amended by Resolution No.
86-18487 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been informed that the above-
named Boards and Committee have either never met or have not met
for more than one year; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes that said Boards and
Committee do not currently serve a purpose which is necessary or
useful to the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution NO. 84-17627 any City advisory
board which does not meet a minimum of once per calendar quarter is
automatically dissolved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: that the Art Deco Developers
Advisory Board, Twenty-First Street Recreation Center Advisory
Board and City of Miami Beach Young Professionals Committee are
hereby abolished and that Resolution Nos. 86-18367 , 86-18487, 87-
18986 and 89-19605 are hereby repealed.

SUBJECT: RESOLUTION ABOLISHING INACTIVE AND UNNECESSARY BOARDS
At the request of the Rules and Special Events Committee, our
office has drafted a resolution abolishing three City Boards (the
Art Deco Developers Advisory Board, Library Advisory Board and the
Twenty-First Street Recreation Center Advisory Board, ) and one
Committee, the City of Miami Beach Young Professionals Committee.
The Rules and Special Events Committee made this request after
determining that the Boards and Committee to be abolished had
either never met or had not met for more than one year and did not
perform any necessary function which could not be accomplished by
one of the City' s other active Boards.
