A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR THE 2ND AMENDMENT
TO THE CONFISCATION FUND BUDGET, PROVIDING
FUNDS FOR (1) THE IMPREST CHECKING ACCOUNT
($34 , 300 . ) AND (2) A PROGRAM INVOLVING
RECRUITMENT, HIRING AND TRAINING (COLLEGE
TUITIONS) FOR RESERVE POLICE OFFICERS
($24 , 000 . ) .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, Section 932 . 704 (3) (a) , Florida Statutes, provides
for the transfer of seized property and/or funds after public
notice; such funds to be utilized for the appropriation and
expenditures of the Police Confiscation Fund for law
enforcement purposes other than normal operating expenses; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Miami Beach
has determined that the needs for expenditures and
appropriation exist and the expenditure or appropriation of
forfeiture funds is in compliance with Section 932 . 704 (3) (a) ;
and
WHEREAS, such funds are available in the Police
Confiscation Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT the City Commission
hereby amends the FY 1991/92 Police Confiscation Fund Budget
for the City of Miami Beach by an amount of $58 , 300 . 00, said
amendment to result in the amended budget as reflected
hereinbelow.

hereby certify that the aforementioned proposed request for
expenditures from the City of Miami Beach Police Confiscation
Trust Fund, for the 1991/92 fiscal year providing funds for
the Imprest Checking Account, and a program involving
recruitment, hiring and training (college tuitions) for
Reserve Police Officers, complies with the provisions of

SUBJECT: RESOLUTION FOR THE 2ND AMENDMENT TO THE CONFISCATION
FUND BUDGET, PROVIDING FUNDS FOR (1) THE IMPREST
CHECKING ACCOUNT ($34,300) , AND (2) RESERVE POLICE
OFFICERS ($24,000) .
The Administration requests an amendment to Resolution
91-20367 for the operating budget of the Police Confiscation
Trust Account to appropriate an additional $58 , 300. 00
providing funds for (1) the Imprest Checking Account,
($34 , 300) , and (2) a program involving recruitment, hiring and
training (college tuitions) for Reserve Police Officers
($24 , 000) . The additional appropriation will increase the
Police Confiscation budget to $586, 377 . 00 for the fiscal year
1991/92 .
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends that the City Commission amend
the operating budget for the Police Confiscation Trust Account
by an amount of $58 , 300 .
