SUBJECT: Re-opening of Boat Ramps at Ma ce Gibb Memorial Park
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission that boat ramps at Maurice Gibb Memorial
Park, located at the intersection of Dade Boulevard and Purdy Avenue, have reopened to the
public following the completion of a renovation project.
The project includes the addition of a swinging gate, which provides access to the boat ramp and
will be locked during non-operating hours.
The gate installation has not affected the boat ramp's hours of operation, and remains open to the
public from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The locking/unlocking of the gate will be managed by the Parking
Department, as parking staff already patrol the boat trailer parking lot on a rotating basis.
