RESOLUTION NO. 92-20575
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 92-20564 ADOPTED ON JULY 22, 1992, WHICH RESOLUTION
CALLED FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 3,
1992 FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORATE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH A QUESTION REGARDING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE MIAMI BEACH RELATED LAWS, CHANGING THE NUMBER OF
VOTING MEMBERS ON THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT FROM 5 TO 7,
AND PROVIDING THAT A FIVE-SEVENTHS AFFIRMATIVE VOTE SHALL
BE REQUIRED FOR ANY DECISION OF THE BOARD.
WHEREAS, on July 22 , 1992 , the City Commission adopted
Resolution No. 92-20564 which called for a question to be placed on
the November 3 , 1992 ballot increasing the number of voting members
on the Board of Adjustment from 5 to 7 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to repeal Resolution No.
92-20564 and remove from the November 3 , 1992 ballot the ballot
question increasing the number of voting members on the Board of
Adjustment from 5 to 7 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Resolution No. 92-20564 ,
which called for a ballot question to be placed on the November 3 ,
1992 ballot changing the number of voting members on the Board of
Adjustment from 5 to 7 and providing that a five-sevenths
affirmative vote shall be required for any decision of the Board,
is hereby repealed, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to
forthwith advise the Dade County Supervisor of Elections of this
Resolution.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of September , 1992 .
