The Ordinance provides that the City has the option of raising the Franchise Fee once yearly, said raises not to exceed two percent and shall be imposed only by resolution after a public hearing and thirty days prior notice to all Franchise Waste Contractors. It is proposed that a public hearing be held on the regular Commission Meeting of September 16, 1992, and that public notices be sent the week of August 11, 1992. ANALYSIS The proposed Franchise Fee increase from eight percent (8%) to ten percent (10%) will generate an additional estimated revenue of$157,396.00 per year. These funds will partially offset the current general fund contribution to the Sanitation Enterprise Fund.
