A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, AWARDING A GRANT OF $3,950 AS A
REIMBURSEMENT FOR SERVICES PERFORMED AND NOT
PREVIOUSLY COMPENSATED TO YESHIVA TORAS CHAIM
OF GREATER MIAMI, INC.
WHEREAS, the Yeshiva Toras Chaim of Greater Miami, Inc. ,
purchased property of Miami Beach to perform its school functions;
and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to award a grant in an effort to
reimburse this organization for the services it performs
benefitting the community and for which it is not otherwise
compensated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission approves
the payment to Yeshiva Toras Chaim of Greater Miami, Inc. , in the
amount of $3 , 950. 00 in recognition of services provided to the
community.

SUBJECT: Refund ofpreviously paid ad valorem taxes in the amount of $3,950 to
Yeshiva Toras Chaim of Greater Miami, Inc.
Administrative Recommendation
The Administration recommends that the City Commission approve a refund of
previously paid ad valorem taxes to Yeshiva Toras Chaim of Greater Miami, Inc., in the
amount of $3,950.
Background
The Yeshiva Toras Chaimpurchased School a property at 7141 Indian Creek Drive
1 to obtain tax exempt status for in 1990, the year of purchase. The
which they were unable P
school has obtained exempt status for subsequent tax years and due to the nature of their
community programs the payment ment of these taxes has placed a burden on the organization.
Analysis
The Miami Beach
ad valorem taxes on the property totaled $3,950, and Dade County
and the Dade
CountySchool District have already made this refund.
