Catici it0 RECREATION DIVISION IMPREST CHECKING ACCOUNT -- CHANGE SUBJECT: IN AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the Resolution temporarily changing authorized signatures for the Recreation Division Imprest Checking Account. BACKGROUND: The Recreation Division of the Recreation, Culture and Parks Department utilizes an imprest checking account to pay performers, entertainers and contractual instructors. Resolution 90-20069 established the existing limitations of the account as well as identifying the three (3) authorized signatures. The signatures identified at that time were of the Parks and Recreation Director, Assistant Director, and Recreation Superintendent. As of December 1, 1992, only one of the three employees will remain to sign checks. ANALYSIS: Currently, to provide an added checks and balances system, two signatures are required on each check issued by the Recreation Division. Due to the absence of a Department Director and Assistant Director, a temporary change in authorized signatures is required. A new Resolution must be approved soon after the Recreation, Culture and Parks Director is selected. The three individuals authorized to sign imprest checks will be: Stuart L. Rogel, Assistant City Manager Alan Ricke, Recreation Superintendent Dan Keys, Parks Superintendent All other sections of Resolution #90-20069 will remain unchanged. CONCLUSION: The Administration recommends approval of the attached Resolution modifying the authorized signatures for the Recreation Division's Imprest Checking Account. These changes will remain in effect until the selection of a Recreation, Culture and Parks Director is finalized. 81 AGENDA I TEM DATE - I RESOLUTION NO. 92-20669 Authorizing creation and maintenance of an imprest checking account for the Recreation Division with Nationsbank, 111* formerly NCNB (North Carolina National Bank) of Miami Beach; repealing Resolution No. 90-20069.
