BANK ACCOUNT WITH THE MIAMI BEACH HOJSIHG AUTHORITY
AT BARNETT BANK OF SOUTH FLORIDA, N.A. , ' TILED
"CITY OF MIAMI BEACH/MIAMI BEACH HUUSINC :AUTHORITY
BENEFIT FUND ACCOUNT" AND TO EXECUTE VOUCHERS ON
THIS ACCOUNT REQUIRING TWO SIGNATURES; ONE FROM THE
CITY AND ONE FROM THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That on and after the 3rd day of February 1993, all
withdrawals offunds from the City of Miami Beach/Miami Beach
Housing Authority Account described as follows:
BARNETT BANK OF SOUTH FLORIDA
Account designated: "City of Miami Beach/Miami Beach
Housing Authority Benefit Fund Account"
shall be upon official vouchers duly prepared and bearing
the various designations as given above, each bearing two
signatures; one from the City and one from the Authority as
follows:

MIAMI BEACH HOUSING AUTHORITY AT BARNETT BANK OF
SOUTH FLORIDA, N.A. , TITLED "CITY OF MIAMI BEACH/
MIAMI BEACH HOUSING AUTHORITY BENEFIT FUND ACCOUNT"
AND TO EXECUTE VOUCHERS ON THIS ACCOUNT REQUIRING
TWO SIGNATURES; ONE FROM THE CITY AND ONE FROM THE
HOUSING AUTHORITY
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends that the City Commission
approve the authorization to establish this bank account
and for the signing of vouchers drawn on funds in this
bank account.
BACKGROUND:
The City has reached an understanding with the Housing
Authority for the Housing Authority to provide matching
funds for Fiscal 1992/1993 for specified "quality of
life" projects.
ANALYSIS
Establishment of a bank account with authorized
signatures is necessary to move ahead with the
"Benefit Fund" concept between the City and the
Housing Authority.
CONCLUSION:
A new resolution containing appropriate authorization
to establish the account and authorized signatures
should be adopted at this time to provide the necessary
vehicle for deposit and expenditure of matching funds
pursuant to the memo of understanding between the City
and Housing Authority.
