A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, SETTING A DATE
AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING AN APPEAL
OF A DECISION OF THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD
GRANTING A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR
DEMOLITION OF THE REVERE HOTEL LOCATED AT 1100
OCEAN DRIVE.
WHEREAS, an application was submitted to the Planning,
Design and Historic Preservation Division for a Certificate of
Appropriateness ro riateness for Demolition of the Revere Hotel located at
1100 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, Florida ; and
WHEREAS, on June 3 , 1993 , a public hearing was held by the
City of Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board regarding the
request, after which the Board voted 5-1 to grant the requested
Certificate of Appropriateness for Demolition; and
WHEREAS, appeals have been filed regarding the Board ' s
decision tog rant said Certificate of Appropriateness for
Demolition of the Revere Hotel ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Subsection 19-6B. 5 of Zoning
Ordinance No. 89-2665 , the Mayor and City Commission must hold
ap ublic hearing and render a decision regarding this appeal .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public
hearing regarding an appeal of a decision of the Historic

Preservation Board granting a Certificate of Appropriateness
for Demolition of the Revere Hotel located at 1100 Ocean Drive,
is
herebycalled to be held before the Mayor and City
Commission in their Chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall,
1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida on
July ,
28 1993 beginning at 4:00 p. m. , and the City
Clerk ishereby authorized and directed to publish appropriate
Public Notice of the said Public Hearing in a newspaper of

SUBJECT: RESOLUTION SETTING DATE AND TIME OF APPEAL OF HISTORIC
PRESERVATION BOARD'S GRANTING OF CERTIFICATE OF
APPROPRIATENESS FOR DEMOLITION OF REVERE HOTEL.
Pursuant to Subsection 19-6B. 5 of the City's Zoning Ordinance,
decisions of the Historic Preservation Board granting or denying a
Certificate of Appropriateness for Demolition of nonhistoric
buildings may be appealed to the City Commission. On June 3 , 1993
the City' s Historic Preservation Board granted a request for a
Certificate of Appropriateness for Demolition of the Revere Hotel,
a nonhistoric building located in the Ocean Drive/Collins Avenue
Historic District at 1100 Ocean Drive. Appeals have been filed
regarding the Historic Preservation Board's decision to the City
