A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, WAIVING SPECIAL EVENT FEES, IN THE
TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $8,009.20, FOR THE
ARTSCAPE CONCERT SERIES TO BE HELD ON
FEBRUARY 23, 2020, MARCH 29, 2020, APRIL 26, 2020,
SEPTEMBER 27, 2020, AND OCTOBER 29, 2020, IN
COLLINS PARK.
WHEREAS, the Global Arts Project, Inc. and the Collins Park Neighborhood
Association teamed up to present the Artscape concerts in Collins Park from 7-10 PM,
on the following dates: February 23, 2020, March 29, 2020, April 26, 2020, September
27, 2020, and October 29, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the concerts will be free to the public and in addition to live concerts,
the events will include exciting raffle prizes, food vendors, live dancers and much more;
and
WHEREAS, the scheduled performers include the John Daversa Big Band, Hot
Brass, Dante Vargas, Jose Fajardo Jr., Karina Iglesias and Robbie Elias; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends, and the Mayor and City
Commission approve, the waiver of special event fees, in the total amount not to exceed
$8,009.20, for the ArtScape Concert Series, which represents $515.84 in square
footage fees, $260.00 in Police administrative fees, the application fee of $258.00, and
the permit fee of$258.00, per each of the five (5) Artscape Concert Series.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby waive special event fees, in the total amount not to exceed
$8,009.20, for the ArtScape Concert Series to be held on February 23, 2020, March 29,
2020, April 26, 2020, September 27, 2020, and October 29, 2020, in Collins Park.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of February, 2020.
