a. Executive Director submitted reports on following:9
1) South Pointe Press Releases - City's Office of
Public Affairs will be notifying media on
Redevelopment Agency reports. First press release
and subsequent news article made part of record of
this meeting. -
2) South Pointe Towers - Tower I construction
continues on schedule (crews completing roof,
light structure, entrance feature, and plaza
deck) . Approximately 140-160 construction workers
are currently on site. '
3) South Pointe Association - First meeting heldip
February 3, 1987 in Marina Conference Room. Those
in attendance included representatives from
Marina, Penrods, South Pointe Towers, Deco Plaza,
Goldman Properties, and four individual owners who
have assembled six or more lots. „

4 South Beach Elementary School - Acquisition

Agreement has been executed by the School Board. ,

Administration is prepared to move forward with,
acquisition negotiations immediately.
5) Infrastructure Improvements - Construction 41-
continues. Alton Road almost completed. Roadway g
improvements of Phase II of Biscayne St. are over
45% completed.
6) Old Police Station Development - Draft RFP forbP1 '
Old Police Station Residential Development was
reviewed on Jan. 29, 1987, by Land Use and
Development Committee. Staff is working to
finalize the RFP for release in the spring.

a. Bi-Weekly Finance Report (Copy of report filed
with records of meeting.)

b. Note: Mr. Weisburd advised that Crawdaddy's 2n hA
Restaurant had contacted the University of Miami v C.
requesting permission to place lights on Fisher
Island trees.
