Roll Call - Meeting called to order at 10:13 a.m. 1 All members present except Commissioner Shapiro (arrived at 10:20 a.m. ) and Commissioner Liebman. 2. Acceptance of Minutes of January 5, 1994 1 3. Old Business A. Oral report on Hotel Land Acquisition. 1-2 Special Counsel David Berger presented update on Sands/New Yorker site recent closing; anticipated late-February closing on Poinciana property; and filing of eminent domain lawsuit for St. Moritz property. B. Oral report on Miami Beach Marina by 2 Chief Deputy City Attorney John Dellagloria who advised that Lease Amendment document would be on next agenda. C. Oral report on Portofino by 2 Chief Deputy City Attorney John Dellagloria who advised a draft document was anticipated from Thomas Kramer's counsel. 4. A. Redevelopment Agency Memo No. 94-03 2-3 151-94 Resolution adopted of the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency accepting an Assignment and Assumption Agreement wherein the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency will take title to that certain property known as the Sands-New Yorker property when said property is purchased by the City of Miami Beach pursuant to that certain Purchase and Sale Agreement dated the 12th day of October, 1993, with Sands-New Yorker Limited Partnership, a Florida Limited Partnership as Seller. B. Redevelopment Agency Memo No. 94-04 3-4,5,7-8 152-94 Resolution adopted of the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency retroactively approving request for price quote letters sent to Lee Waronker; Dixon Friedman, Inc. ; Investors Research Associates, Inc. ; Quinlivan Appraisers; Areea; and Blazejack Company, respectively, for the purpose of determining the fair market value based on the highest and best use of certain parcels located in the South Pointe Redevelopment Area; and further authorizing the Executive Director of the Agency to issue notices to proceed with the aforementioned firms, and approving negotiations with Sol Z. Bennett as Review Appraiser. Executive Director to negotiate with Mr. Bennett and bring back the fee; item 19 deleted from list of properties; Hedg-Peth Gallaher replaced by Lee Waronker. C. Redevelopment Agency Memo No. 94-05 4-5,6 153-94 Resolution adopted of the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency adopting the official policy for obtaining appraisals for the Redevelopment Agency and approving the utilization of the County approved list of MAI certified appraisers. 5.
