3. Old Business
a. Executive Director' s Report 1
1. Block 9 - Marriott/Rahn Proposal -Negotiations
continue with a meeting scheduled for March 22,
1990, with the principal of Marriott and the
Agency to move the proposal forward. There is
some tentative agreement on a park layout which is
thought will be reasonably acceptable to the
community.
(NOTE: Pertaining to anonymous flier regarding
possible threat of property condemnation for the
proposed Marriott/Rahn hotel project, during the
City Commission meeting the City Attorney
submitted letters from Leon D. Black, Jr. and Toby
Prince Brigham advising that they were not
involved in the preparation/distrii tdion of the �o
document which was discussed at the last Agency
meeting.)
2. South Pointe Elementary School - Real estate
closing occurred on March 12, 1990, wherein City-
owned property, acquired for the school site, was
transferred to the Dade County School Board for
which the City was reimbursed $2,000,000 pursuant
to the agreement.
3. Goodman Terrace - Demolition of this 38-year
old public housing project at 800-860 Biscayne
Street began on March 13, 1990.
