Mr. Stuart Newman responded to questions. Nikki -
Beare and Associates were not represented having
submitted a letter advising withdrawal from
consideration. Stuart Newman and Associates were
ranked #1 in accordance with the recommendation of
the selection committee. Executive Director will
negotiate and bring contract back for approval by
Agency.

Redevelopment Agency Memorandum No. 84-11
Administration recommended, based upon existence
of Dade County Alcoholic Treatment Facility, that
Redevelopment Agency decline from sponsoring or
creating a duplicative alcoholic treatment
facility in South Pointe but continue to monitor
the services supplied by Dade County to insure
that residents of Miami Beach receive adequate and
necessary services.
