Cobb Partners Development of the Old Police
Station Project Site: A Memorandum of
Understanding , Affirming , Extending ,
Supplementing and Clarifying the Existing
Agreement.

Matter initially administratively deferred to
Finance Committee, however, Commissioner Shockett
suggested item be referred to South Pointe
Advisory Board before the Finance Committee. In
addition, he inquired the status of acquisition
of property for the project. City Attorney
Feingold advised that all properties had either
been acquired or were in process of being
acquired by quick take. Commissioner Shockett
moved that the City Attorney move forward with
tendering title to Cobb Partners. Motion
carried unanimously. City Attorney Feingold
advised there was a question as to responsibility
for cleanup of alleged pollutants under property
acquired in the Mendelson settlement.
Commissioner Shockett stated that should not
delay the project, and that financial
responsibility could be worked out.
