Roll Call - Meeting called to order at 11:00 a.m. 1 All members present except Chairman Daoud. 2. Acceptance of Minutes of March 15, 1989. 1 3. Report of Executive Director Executive Director submitted oral and written report: a.) Old Police Station Development Project - 1 On March 31, 1989, the Redevelopment Agency and Cobb Partners, Inc. , signed documents for development of this site, namely Contract of Purchase and Sale and Cobb Development Agreement. Preliminary design is expected to be presented to the City's Design Review Board within 75 days. Closings for Redevelopment Agency' s purchase of two parcels (145 Jefferson Avenue and 380 2nd Street) within project site have occurred. Administration continues negotiating with property owners within designated site for acquisition of additionalis parcels. b. South Pointe Towers . - Executive, Director 2 requested/cautioned Commissioners not react to rumors concerning collapse of closing on deal for sale of this project and advised that he would keep them informed. 4. Old Business a. Bi-Weekly Finance Report (Copy of report filed with records of meeting.) 5. New Business 74-89 a. Resolution adopted requesting tax exemption on 1, 2 property located at 830 2nd Street, Miami Beach, Florida, acquired in lieu of eminent domain proceedings to be instituted by the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency, for public use. 75-89 b. Resolution adopted requesting tax exemption on 1, 2 property located at 820 2nd Street, Miami Beach, Florida, acquired in lieu of eminent domain proceedings to be instituted by the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency, for public use. 76-89 c. Resolution adopted requesting tax exemption on 1, 2 property located at 145 Jefferson Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida, acquired in lieu of eminent domain proceedings to be instituted by the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency, for public use. 6. Report of Agency Attorney - Mr. Weiner reported that 2 the Carner-Mason Associates, Ltd. sale of Miami Beach Marina to Miami Beach Marina Village, Inc. (Summit Group) had been delayed slightly; that there had been further payments; and that the extension was until some time in June. 7.
