HEALTH ADVISORY TEAM FOR A PHASED REOPENING FOR MIAMI BEACH Provide health advisory updates and forecasting. Give specific public health-based guidance for reopening. Provide specialized analysis from infectious disease experts to understand local issues, such as restarting our tourism economy. Track and analyze gating criteria indicators for moving between phases. Maintain and expand on academic, government and healthcare partnerships. SINAI MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER COVID-19 TESTING DAILY TESTS 400 STATE -FUNDED TESTING KITS & PPE CITY-RUN CALL CENTER FL NATIONAL GUARD TESTING CENTER WALK -UP OR DRIVE THRU U.S. ARMY CORPS FIELD HOSPITAL TO National Covid-19 Testing Action Plan: 'The Plan of Plans' •Miami Beach, as part of Resilient Cites partnership Resilient305, has been selected at one of ten areas by the Rockefeller Foundation •The Testing Solutions Coalition includes •$10 million in funding and resources for the coalition to operationalize the Action Plan from June 2020 through early 2021 •Immediate support to Mayors and leadership teams to enhance testing and data capabilities— with a focus on the most vulnerable citizens. MIAMI BEACH PARKS OPENING EDUCATION AND ENFORCEMENT TEAM Keep the public educated on specific health guidelines and government orders. Monitor and enforce compliance of guidelines, government orders,and health safety protocols. Ensure that businesses reopen with proper capacities,procedures,signage Particular attention to vulnerable populations, public spaces and facilities,and private business operations. Police enforcement and code compliance to conduct inspections and investigations. HURRICANE PLANNING Response is being modified to adjust to social distancing protocols and protect the most vulnerable populations. Emergency Management has been meeting with all departments to make sure all departmental plans reflect the current COVID-19 considerations. A virtual hurricane exercise is anticipated to be conducted the week of May 26, 2020. Officers assigned to the Landfall Team will adhere to COVID- 19 prevention best practices. Miami-Dade County will open shelters with social distancing WORKFORCE & WORKPLACE SAFETY Foster a safe and healthy environment for city employees with robust disinfecting procedures using CDC and EPA-approved chemicals. Make physical adaptations to facilities, offices, common areas and personal workspaces, including hand sanitation stations, "no touch" doors, and retrofits to plumbing fixtures,reception areas, meeting rooms and kiosks. Require employees to wear PPE. Define a new maximum occupancy to ensure social distancing within the workplace. Limit visitors to "appointment only" Continue staggered work shifts and encourage telecommuting options. NEXT STEPS EXTENSIVE EFFORTS FOR FOOD SECURITY CONTINUE PARTICIPATING IN DEVELOPING REOPENING GUIDELINES WITH MIAMI-DADE COUNTY AND INDUSTRY GROUPS: RESTAURANTS AND INTERIOR SPACES PLANNING UTILIZE EXPERTISE FROM HEALTH ADVISORY TEAM SUPPORT TESTING EFFORTS EDUCATE AND ENFORCE WORKFORCE AND WORKPLACE PLANNING
