I am pleased to announce that Matthew D. Schwartz has agreed to accept an appointment
to the position of Assistant City Manager, commencing on Monday, May 3, 1999.
As you will note from the attached resume, Matthew has extensive background experience
in the areas of development, redevelopment and infrastructure, as well as in the planning
and coordination of public/private sector joint ventures.
Matthew will assist me and the other members of my executive staff in providing day-to-day
direction to the operating departments of our City.
