RESOLUTION NO: . 85-18302
•
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY. •
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING .A GRANT .FROM
THE STATE" OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT' OF HEALTH AND
REHABILITATIVE SERVICES. FOR THE RETARDATION •
PROGRAM AND'AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF TWO CONTRACTS
TO PROVIDE SERVICES.
WHEREAS , the State of Florida, Department of Health
and Rehabilitative Services has offered a grant of $166 ,924. 80 in
order to provide developmental training and transportation services
for mentally retarded .adults ; and.
WHEREAS , continued funding from .H.R.S . is necessary in
order to provide needed services .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that this grant offered from the
State of Florida be accepted; and that the Mayor •and. the City Clerk
be authorized . and directed _to _execute the contracts to _provide _ ._ __
. developmental training '.and transportation services for 35 mentally re-
tarded adults in the Miami Beach Activity Center.
PASSED and ADOPTED '.this 4th day of December , 1985.
