A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE 2ND
AMENDMENT TO THE OPERATING BUDGETS OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1985/86,
PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF THE LITTER, GARBAGE AND
TRASH FUNCTIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION AT
NO ADDITIONAL COST; PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASED
CONTRIBUTION OF $5,000 TO THE HOT MEALS PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has determined that the creation of a
Sanitation Department would benefit administrative capacity of the City in providing for
the collection and disposal of litter, garbage, and trash; and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this, it will be necessary to transfer these
functions from the Public Works Department to the proposed Sanitation Department; and
WHEREAS, this transfer of functions from the Public Works Department to the
proposed Sanitation Department will not cost the City any additional dollars; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission requested that an additional appropriation of
$5,000 be made to the Hot Meals Program to be funded from the General Fund Balance; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida has ascertained that the following adjustments to the revenue and
expenditure projections for the Fiscal Year 1985/86 are adopted amending the General Fund
budget to $65,531,465.

Year 1985/86 are adopted, thereby amending the Sanitation Enterprise Fund Budget to
$3,844,093.
