RESOLUTION NO. 86-18362
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE STATE OF FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR THE CITY'S MAINTENANCE OF
THE PROPOSED NEW PALM AND
HIBISCUS ISLAND BRIDGES OVER
BISCAYNE WATERWAY
WHEREAS, the existing Palm and Hibiscus Island Bridges over Biscayne
Waterway do not meet the present day requirements for such structures; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation of the State of Florida has
agreed, using Federal aid, to replace the bridges; and
WHEREAS, as a necessary part of such project, the City must agree to
assume responsiblities for the maintenance of the proposed new structures on their
completion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, hereby authorizes the execution of an
agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation agreeing to
assume the maintenance responsiblities for the bridges on their completion.
