A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO INITIATE PROCEDURES FOR
CLEARANCE OF BOND FUNDS TO PURCHASE PROPERTY
SURROUNDING THE DADE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 335 ALTON ROAD, MIAMI
BEACH; AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY
MANAGER TO PROCEED WITH NEGOTIATIONS AND
METHODS NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE PURCHASE.
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
is desirous of purchasing property surrounding the Dade County
School Board property located in the Redevelopment Area at 335
Alton Road; and
WHEREAS, bond funds have become available to enable the
City to make such a capital purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the City
Manager is authorized to initiate procedures for clearance of bond
funds to purchase propertysurrounding the Dade County School
Board property Located at 335 Alton Road, Miami Beach; and the
City Attorney and City Manager are authorized to proceed with
negotiations and methods necessary to accomplish the purchase.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of February , 1986 .
