RESOLUTION NO. 86-18402
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY, AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR STORM SEWER
FACILITIES RELATING TO REPLACEMENT OF PALM
AND HIBISCUS BRIDGES OVER BISCAYNE WATERWAY,
DOT PROJECTS 87000-3663 AND 3664.
WHEREAS , the State of Florida Department of
Transportation is planning to replace Palm and Hibiscus bridges
over Biscayne Waterway with federal funds; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation has
requested the City pay the additional costs ( estimated at
$70, 000 .00) for deep drainage wells which are requested by the
Department of Environmental Regulation.
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends such action
and the City Attorney has approved an Agreement as to form.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and
the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the
City, the Agreement with the State of Florida Department of
Transportation for storm sewer facilities in replacement of Palm
and Hibiscus Bridges over Biscayne Waterway, DOT Projects 87000-
3663 and 3664 .
