RESOLUTION NO. 86-18405
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AN AGREEMENT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
AND L. GARRY SMITH (Sc ASSOCIATES, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has recognized the need for and
requires the provision of lobbying services on behalf of the City of Miami Beach at all
Florida State Legistature Sessions held during the term of the Agreement and before any
committees of the State Legislature that may meet from time-to-time during the term of
the Agreement to propose legislation on behalf of the City and/or to oppose legislation to
which the City objects, and to perform such other legislative services at their sessions that
the City Manager or his designated representative shall direct in order that the citizens of
Miami Beach might be properly represented; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, desires to retain and L. Garry
Smith & Associates, Inc., wishes to accept such representation of the City of Miami Beach
bef ore the State of Florida Legislature, Florida Cabinet, and the various State agencies of
the State of Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has agreed to perform the services in accordance
with the policies, rules, regulations, control, and direction of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor be and the same is hereby
authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, the Agreement for Professional Services
between the City of Miami Beach and L. Garry Smith & Associates, Inc.
