RESOLUTION NO. 86-18432
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY
INSTRUMENTS OF THE INDENTURE BETWEEN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO LOCATE,
CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN OR IMPROVE THE 73RD
STREET BRIDGE, IN MIAMI BEACH, DADE COUNTY,
FLORIDA
WHEREAS, it is proposed by the State of Florida,
through the State of Florida Department of Transportation, to
locate, construct and maintain or improve the 73rd Street Bridge
in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida; and
WHEREAS , a portion of the lands involved and
necessary to said project are owned by the City of Miami Beach;
and
WHEREAS , on behalf of the State of Florida a
request ,has been made for a conveyance of a portion of said lands
of this City; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and
the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the necessary
instruments to effect such conveyance.

SUBJECT: REPLACEMENT OF 73RD STREET BRIDGE ONTO PARK VIEW ISLAND
The Florida Department of Transportation is preparing to take bids in June,
1987, for the replacement of the 73rd Street bridge onto Park View Island
under the Federal Program of replacing off-system bridges.
In order to replace the existing bridge, a temporary bridge will have to be
constructed north of the existing bridge that will require the use of City-
owned land north of 73rd Street from Dickens Avenue west to the waterway.
The City will be required to provide a permit for a temporary detour.
The City Attorney has reviewed the request for a permit for a temporary
detour and advises that the City Commission can grant this request.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends that the City Commission pass the attached
Resolution authorizing the execution of a permit for a temporary detour for
the construction of the 73rd Street bridge.

That parcel of land lying in Section 2, Township 53 South, Range 42
East, Dade County, Florida, being a portion of that Public Park as
shown in the plat entitled PLAT OF THE TOWNSITE OF HARDING, recorded
in Plat Book 34, Page 4 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida
and being more particularly described as follows:
COKE at the most southeasterly corner of said Public Park; thence
run South 87°30'30" West for a distance of 30.50 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING of the parcel to be described; thence continue South
87°30'30" West for a distance 101.70 feet to a point on a circular
curve concave to the southeast, said point being on the easterly
boundary of a canal shown in the plat entitled PARK VIEW ISLAND,
recorded in Plat Book 60, Page 6 of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida; last two (2) courses being along the south boundary of said
Public Park; thence northeasterly along said circular curve having a
radius of 154.27 feet and a chord bearing of North 10°30'49" East
through a central angle of 09°25'04" for an arc distance of 25.36 feet
to a point of tangency; thence North 15°13'21" East for a distance of
1.39 feet to a point of curvature of a circular curve concave to the
northwest; thence northeasterly along said circular curve having a
radius of 81.67 feet and a chord bearing of North 09°49'49" East
