A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN INDEMNIFICATION
AGREEMENT TO JACK F. WEINS AND THE LAW FIRM
OF ABRAMS, ANTON, ROBBINS, RESNICK, SCHNEIDER
& MAGER, P.A. IN EXCHANGE FOR CERTAIN ESCROW
ACCOUNT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, in 1979, the City of Miami Beach, Florida entered
into a Settlement Agreement with Ferendino, Grafton, Spillis and
Candela; Seldin Construction Co. and Western Waterproofing Co. ,
Inc. to resolve all disputes yet remaining concerning the
construction of the Miami Beach Youth Center ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Settlement Agreement, certain funds
were deposited by the City of Miami Beach into an escrow account
with Abrams, Anton, Robbins, Resnick, Schneider & Mager, P.A. ; and.
WHEREAS, after disbursements have been made, a remaining
balance of Four Hundred Twenty and 02/100 ($420 .02) Dollars plus
interest remains in the escrow account; and
WHEREAS, it has been suggested, and the City of Miami Beach
agrees, that the remaining escrow funds be paid to the City in
exchange for an indemnification to Abrams, Anton, Robbins,
Resnick, Schneider & Mager, P.A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized to execute an Indemnification
Agreement to Jack F. Weins and the law firm of Abrams, Anton,
Robbins, Resnick, Schneider & Mager , P.A. in exchange for the
remaining balance of Four Hundred Twenty and 02/100 ($420 .02)
Dollars in their escrow account.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 1986 .
