RESOLUTION NO. 86-18453'
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZINGTHE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE OPTION AGREE-
MENTS FOR PARCELS 2 , 9H, 9I AND 13 OF THE
NORTH SHORE OPEN SPACE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and the State of Florida,
pursuant to action of the Board of Trustees of the Internal Im-
provement Fund on September 30, 1983, have agreed to purchase cer-
tain properties in the North Shore Open Space; and
WHEREAS, in Resolutions No. 83-17440 and 83-17555, the City
Commission approved the site selection for the North Shore Open
Space Park Extension between Collins Avenue and the Atlantic Ocean
and between 76th street and 79th street; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Natural Resources
has negotiated Option Agreements for parcels 2 ($521,250) , 9H & 9I
(price for both parcels $289,875) and 13 ($160,000) of the North
Shore Open Space, and the Department has requested the City to
accept, ie. , execute, the Option Agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept to option agreements on the
foregoing parcels as requested by the Department of Natural
Resources,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the option agreements
with the Owners of Parcels 2, 9H, 9I and 13 of the North Shore
Open Space and the option agreements with the State of Florida for
the same parcels.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of May, 1986.
