A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND JOHNSON & HIGGINS
OF FLORIDA, INC. FOR PROVIDING EMPLOYEE
BENEFIT CONSULTING SERVICES FOR CITY.
WHEREAS) City is desirous of retaining the services of a
professional consulting firm to provide professional employee
benefit consulting services for the immediate, short term need of
preparing the required documentation and bid specifications for
the group indemnity contract, and the individual-practice and the
clinic-practice health maintenance organizations, and the possible
long term need of providing assistance with special ad hoc
projects as determined by the City; and
WHEREAS, City released Request for Proposals No. 57-85/86 on
January 17 , 1986, received three qualified proposals, formed the
Administration Selection Committee which interviewed and evaluated
the proposers on March 12, 1986; and

WHEREAS, on April 2, 1986, City Commission placed the three
proposers in rank order and authorized the Administration to nego-
tiate a firm contract; and
WHEREAS, an Agreement has been prepared and the City Manager
has recommended its execution and the City Attorney has approved
it as to form.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are authorized anddirected to execute the Agreement between
the City of Miami Beach and Johnson & Higgins of Florida, Inc. for
performing employee benefit consulting services for City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 9th day of July, 1986 .
