A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, WAIVING SPECIAL
EVENT FEES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,666, FOR
THE ARTSCAPE CONCERT SERIES, ORGANIZED BY
GLOBAL ARTS PROJECT INC., AND COLLINS PARK
NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION, TO BE HELD IN COLLINS
PARK ON OR ABOUT FEBRUARY 28, 2021, MARCH 28,
2021, APRIL 25, 2021, SEPTEMBER 26, 2021, AND
OCTOBER 31, 2021.
WHEREAS,the Global Arts Project, Inc.and the Collins Park Neighborhood Association
teamed up to present the Artscape concerts in Collins Park ("Events") from 7-10 PM, on or
about the following dates: February 28, 2021, March 28, 2021, April 25, 2021, September 26,
2021, and October 31, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the Events will be free to the public and in addition to live concerts, the
events will include exciting raffle prizes, food vendors, live dancers and much more; and
WHEREAS, the scheduled performers include the Paul Gualano's Brazilian Latin
Sound, Co., Yoli Mayor and Sol and the Tribu, Miami Swing All Stars, Los 3 de La Habana; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the waiver of special event fees for the
five (5) Artscape Concert Series in an amount not to exceed $5,666; which includes, for each
event, $333.84 in square footage fees; $23.36 sales tax; $260 in Police administrative fees; $258
special event application fee; and $258 special event permit fee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby waive special event fees, in an amount not to exceed $5,666, for the
Artscape Concert Series, organized by Global Arts Project, Inc., and Collins Park Neighborhood
Association, to be held'in Collins Park on or about February 28, 2021, March 28, 2021, April
25, 2021, September 26, 2021, and October 31, 2021 in Collins Park.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of February 2021.
