A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BE-
TWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND RAYMOND KAISER
ENGINEERS, INC. AND HOWARD NEEDLES TAMMEN AND BER-
GENDOFF TO PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONAL COST ESTIMATES
AND PROJECT SCHEDULING.
WHEREAS, the City and Raymond Kaiser Engineer , Inc. and
Howard Needles Tammen and Bergendoff ( hereinafter referred to
"RKE/HNTB" ) entered into an Agreement on May 16 , 1985 ( the
"Agreement" ) for Project Management Services during the design and
construction phases of the expansion of the Miami Beach Convention
Center .
WHEREAS, the City and RKE/HNTB wish to amend the Agree-
ment to expand the scope of additional services set forth in Ex-
hibit B of the Agreement to include independent definitive cost
estimates, independent detailed project scheduling and other
matters.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended execution of
the Amendment to the Agreement and the City Attorney has approved
it as to form.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
authorized to execute the Amendment to the Agreement between the
City of Miami Beach and Raymond Kaiser Engineers, Inc. and Howard
Needles Tammen and Bergendoff to provide for additional services
for a cost estimate and project scheduling and appropriating the
amount of $55, 500 from the Convention Center Expansion Fund to
Budget Code Number #3582928.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of July, 1986 .
