A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A TWENTY FIVE YEAR
SOVEREIGNTY SUBMERGED LAND LEASE BY AND BE-
TWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT TRUST
FUND OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA FOR THE MIAMI
BEACH MARINA.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution #84-17833 the City of Miami
Beach entered into a five ( 5) year Sovereignty Submerged Land
Lease with the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust
Fund of the State of Florida for the Miami Beach Marina commencing
on December 18, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the City requested the State of Florida to extend
the lease from five years to twenty five years, and the Board of
Trustees of the the Internal Improvement Trust Fund at its meeting
of January 21, 1986 approved a twenty five year Submerged Land
Lease; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has reviewed the twenty five year
Sovereignty Submerged Land Lease by and between the City of Miami
Beach, Florida and The Board of Trustees of the Internal Improve-
ment Trust Fund of the State of Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended execution of the
Lease and the City Attorney has approved it as to form,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are authorized to execute the twenty five ( 25) year
Sovereignty Submerged Land Lease by and between the City of Miami
Beach, Florida and the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improve-
ment Trust Fund of the State of Florida for the Miami Beach
Marina.
