Resolution 86-18561 . w RESOLUTION NO. 86-18561 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE ,CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING CONSORTIUM TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR AN OFFICE OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL LIAISON AND COORDINATION; RETROACTIVE TO JULY 1, 1986. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, by its Resolution #86-18460, adopted June 4, 1986, renewed its Consortium Agreement with the governments of Dade and Monroe Counties, and the Cities of Miami and Hialeah, designating the City Manager as official representative to said Consortium; and WHEREAS, said Resolution is in full force and effect; and WHEREAS, said Consortium at its June 27, 1986 meeting, approved funding for its member jurisdictions to continue to support Intergovernmental Coordination and Liaison staffs, effective July 1, 1986; and WHEREAS, the execution of an Agreement with said Consortium to implement and operate an Intergovernmental Liaison Office is recommended by the City Manager, and said Agreement has been approved by the City Attorney as to legal form and sufficiency. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY.OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver said Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, for and in the name of the City of Miami Beach.
