Resolution 86-18574 i .4 RESOLUTION NO. 86-18574 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING AND AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDED INTERIM FINANCE PROGRAM AS PREPARED BY THE ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT, WHEREAS, the Miami Beach City Commission has adopted as a primary citywide goal the economic development of this community; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to implement certain programs to provide incentives for the economic development of this community; and WHEREAS, the Economic and Community Development Department of the City of Miami Beach has prepared such a program, which will provide for low interest, short term financing of economic development projects in the City of Miami Beach; and WHEREAS, the Miami Beach City Commission now desires to adopt this program as a tool for economic development in the City of Miami Beach; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Commission does hereby adopt and authorize the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant funded Interim Finance Program as prepared by the Economic and Community Development Department. Further, that upon approval of the Loan Review Committee, minor changes or adjustments to the program guidelines may be made as necessary, which do not significantly alter the scope or intent of the program. NOW, THEREFORE, be it further resolved by the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
