Resolution 86-18576 - L I RESOLUTION No. 86-18576 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE OF APPROPRIATIONS TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION SPECIAL REVENUE ACCOUNTS FOR SOUTH POINTE PARK, AMENDING RESOLUTION No. 86-18435 WHEREAS, the City Commission authorized the creation of a series of Special Revenue Accounts under the Special Revenue Fund assigned to the Parks and Recreation Department for the purpose of providing a funding source for South Pointe Park programs; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted a resolution on May 7, 1986 which increased the original appropriation by $5, 000; and WHEREAS, it has been realized that the program is significantly more popular that originally had been anticipated; and WHEREAS, it has been decided to continue to operate the Friday Nite Live programs at South Pointe Park through the end of the fiscal year; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the appropriation in this set of accounts by $35, 000, reflecting a new total of $85,000 . WHEREAS, funding for this increase will be provided from the proceeds earned through the various special programs and operations of the Parks and Recreation Department; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the amended appropriation in the South Pointe Park Special Revenue Accounts under the auspicies of the Parks and Recreation Department be increased by $35,000 to reflect a new appropriation of $85, 000 . Funding for this appropriation increase will be derived from any and all proceeds earned from programs held at the Park, with any existing surplus to be used to offset the original adveritising and promotional costs incurred for Friday Nite Live and Bite of the Beach.
