A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH ADELAIDA MIGUELEZ, FOR THE
RETENTION OF HER SERVICES AS CLERICAL ASSISTANT,
FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, IN THE MINORITY
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has determined that it is necessary to
employ the professional services of a Clerical Assistant for the City of Miami
Beach, in the Minority Assistance Program; and
WHEREAS, the City has budgeted funds through the City's Community
Development Block Grant Program for compensation of said Clerical Assistant;
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends to the City Commission that the
City enter into an Agreement with Adelaida Miguelez for a period of one year
beginning October 1, 1986 and ending September 30, 1987, in the amount of
thirteen thousand two hundred and fifty dollars ($13,250) to be paid on a biweekly
basis for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week; providing that aforesaid individual
provides certain services for the Community Development Division of the
Economic and Community Development Department of the City of Miami Beach;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, being familiar with the provisions of said
Agreement, deems it to be in the best interests of the City and its citizens and
residents to enter into said Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement with
Adelaida Miguelez in the name of and on behalf of the City, and that the
disbursing officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
disburse the monies required by the terms of said Agreement from Community
Development block Grant funds available for said purpose.
