RESOLUTION NO. 86-18650
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A
SETTLEMENT OFFER WITH BENGAL BILL ENTERPRISES, INC.,
AND THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$417,403.03 FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LOTS 34 AND 35, BLOCK
52, OCEAN BEACH ADDITION #3, PLAT BOOK 2, PAGE 81,
PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AT
WASHINGTON AVENUE AND COMMERCE STREET FOR THE
WIDENING OF WASHINGTON AVENUE FROM BISCAYNE STREET
TO FIRST STREET/HN-426.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA;
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved the site selection for the widening of
Washington Avenue from Biscayne Street to 1st Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Attorney, through their staffs or
through special counsel were authorized by the City Commission to acquire said lots by
purchase, donation, or through eminent domain proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has negotiated the purchase price of
$417,403.03 for Lots 34 and 35, Block 52, Ocean Beach Addition #3, Plat Book 2, Page 81,
Public Records of Dade County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the funding for this project is to be taken from the $9.8 million South
Pointe Infrastructure Bond Issue.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
1. The recommendation of the City Manager and staff as to the purchase price
of $417,403.03 for Lots 34 and 35, Block 52, Ocean Beach Addition #3, Plat Book 2, Page 81,
Public Records of Dade County, Florida for the widening of Washington Avenue from
Biscayne Street to 1st Street is hereby accepted and approved.
2. The funds in the amount of $417,403.03 be appropriated from the $9.8 million
South Pointe Infrastructure Bond Issue to be placed in Work Order #2947 (Washington
Avenue Improvement/HN-426).
