SUBJECT Mount Sinai Medical Center Resiliency Project
The Administration was contacted by the leadership of Mount. Sinai Medical Center regarding
their hope of submitting their Resiliency Project for a Federal legislative appropriation. The
Project consists of many smaller projects, including elevating critical infrastructure and hardening
buildings against future threats. For their resiliency project to qualify, Mount Sinai will need a non-
federal governmental entity to be their sponsor. The deadline for submission of an application for
this legislative appropriation is Monday, March 8, 2021.
The purpose of this L TC is to notify the Mayor and City Commission of the Administration's intent
to sponsor Mount Sinai's Resiliency Project for legislative appropriation by the Monday deadline.
However, the Administration intends to present an after the fact resolution at the March 17, 2021
Commission meeting. If the resolution is not approved, the City would withdraw its sponsorship.
