A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING
THE RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF AN OBSTETRICS
DEPARTMENT AT ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL.
WHEREAS, a critical need exists for more obstetrics
facilities in the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, St. Francis Hospital is in the process of
re-establishing and re-opening such an Obstetrics Department; and
WHEREAS, the Obstetrics Department at St. Francis
Hospital will consist of sixteen (16) beds, with a level two
nursery, serving all, individuals, including those medically
indigent; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
recognizes the vital need for the, construction of this up-to-date
Obstetrics Department.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it
wholeheartedly supports, and encourages the re-establishment and
re-opening of an Obstetrics Department at St. Francis Hospital,
which will provide up-to-date medical services for all patients,
including those medically indigent.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of December , 1986.
