RESOLUTION NO. 86-18694
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE RESERVE OF
GENERAL FUND BALANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 200 , 000 FOR
PAYMENT TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA, ON PARCELS NUMBERS 2,
4 , 9H AND 9I INCLUDED IN THE NORTH SHORE OPEN SPACE
PARK EXPANSION PLAN AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH THE OWNERS TO
PURCHASE THE FOREGOING PROPERTIES AND TO ENTER INTO
AGREEMENTS WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA FOR SALE OF THE
FOREGOING PROPERTIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach wishes to enter into
Agreements with the Owners of Parcels 2, 4, 9H & 9I in the North
Shore Open Space Park Expansion for purchase of said lots at a
price of $1,128, 250. 00; and,
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into Agreements with the
State of Florida for sale of the above described lots for a price
of $928, 250.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City ' s obligations as a participant in this
expansion program will amount to a total of $200,000 .00 for these
four parcels; and,
WHEREAS, the City will pay the $200,000 . 00 to the owners at
closing which shall be on or before December 31, 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA authorizing a resrve of
general fund balance in the amount of $200 , 000. 00 for payment to
the State of Florida on parcels 2, 4, 9H and 9I included in the
North Shore Open Space Park Expansion Plan and authorizing the
Mayor and City Clerk to enter into agreements with the owners to
purchase the foregoing properties and to enter into agreements
with the State of Florida for sale of the foregoing properties.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF

WHEREAS, the State of Florida is able to obtain parcels numbers 2, 4, 9H and 9I
to expand the North Shore Open Space Park at a reduced price; and,
WHEREAS, the City's obligation as a participant in this expansion program will
amount to a total of $200,000for these four parcels; and,
WHEREAS, the City will not make payment to the State of Florida until the end
of the first year of operation of the State Park; and
WHEREAS, the City will pay the $200,000to the State of Florida over a two-
year period in annual installments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a reserve of general fund balance will be
made on an annual basis until the payment is made to the State of Florida for the City's
participation in the North Shore Open Space Park Expansion Program in the amount of
$200,000 Said funds will be disclosed as reserved on the financial statements and may not
be used for any other purpose.
