2003-25397 Reso RESOLUTION NO. 2003-25397 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $97,333, FROM PARKING REVENUE FUND 481 FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE 17TH STREET PARKING GARAGE AND TOLL COLLECTOR BOOTHS AT THE CONVENTION CENTER PARKING LOT AND THE SURFACE PARKING LOT JUST EAST OF THE 17th STREET PARKING GARAGE, TO BE PERFORMED BY A JOB ORDER CONTRACT (JOC) CONTRACTOR. WHEREAS, the 17'h Street Parking Garage requires immediate maintenance attention. WHEREAS, the east elevation has suffered extensive damage due to the exposure to the salt spray coming from the ocean. WHEREAS, the man-proofing infrastructure on the second floor is corroded and lacks the appropriate structural support. The elevator doors and frames have also suffered corrosion; and WHEREAS, there are four (4) toll collector booths require maintenance. Structural supports must be repaired to maintain the tool booths in opelCltional condition; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach approved the Job Order Contracting (JOC) as a procurement method and can be used br maintenance related work; and WHEREAS, additional funding in the amount of $144,667 has already been appropriated from Parking Revenue Fund 480. and WHEREAS, the maintenance work for the 17th Street Parking Garage. and the Toll Booth Structures will be awarded to a JOC Contractor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission appropriate the Funds in the amount of $97.333, from Parking Revenue Fund 481for the maintenance issues at the 17'h Street Parking garage and tollbooth structures.
