RESOLUTION NO. 87-18742
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING THE
EFFORTS OF THE "KEEP DADE BEAUTIFUL" PROGRAM
IN MAINTAINING A CLEAN AND LITTER-FREE COUNTY,
AND PLEDGING SUPPORT FOR THIS PROGRAM BY
MAINTAINING THE CITY'S EFFORTS TO KEEP MIAMI
BEACH BEAUTIFUL.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has been requested to
support/contribute two thousand dollars ($2,000) to the "Keep Dade
Beautiful" program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has and continues to
participate in periodic "cleanathons" in an effort to reduce
litter throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, as a result of said program, the City has, with
the help of its citizens, maintained an immaculate image; and
WHEREAS, said periodic services have well exceeded two
thousand dollars ($2,000) in costs to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach also has a
Beautification Committee, vested with the responsibility of
maintaining and improving the beauty of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach will steadfastly
maintain, through the above efforts, the goal of "Keep Dade
Beautiful" to maintain idealic, clean communities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it
wholeheartedly supports and endorses the "Keep Dade Beautiful"
program via periodic cleanathons sponsored by the City of Miami
Beach and via the continuing efforts of the Miami Beach
Beautification Committee to reduce litter in this City.
