RESOLUTION NO. 87-18743
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING
BOARD AND THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD,
REGARDING THE DESIGNATION OF PROPERTY ON THE EAST
SIDE OF COLLINS AVENUE TO THE EROSION CONTROL LINE
FROM 76th TO 79th STREETS AS THE ALTOS DEL MAR HISTORIC
DISTRICT WITHIN THE CITY'S ZONING ORDINANCE.
BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
WHEREAS, the Planning Board and the Historic Preservation Board of the City of
Miami Beach, at a public hearing held on January 15, 1987 approved the designation of the
Altos del Mar Historic Preservation District with certain conditions (see City Commission
memorandum) located from 76th to 79th Streets from Collins Avenue to the Erosion Control
Line.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board recommended that the Zoning Ordinance be amended
to designate the subject property as the Altos del Mar Historic District;
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to the City
Commission pursuant to Section 17, Changes and Amendments of Zoning Ordinance No. 1891;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that a Public Hearing for consideration of the
aforementioned is hereby called to be held before the City Commission in its chambers on
the Third Floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, beginning
at 2:15 P.M. on the 18th day of March , 1987, and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to publish appropriate Public Notice of said Public Hearing to be
published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time
and place all interested parties will be heard.
