SCHEDULE OF MEMBERSHIP AND USER FEES FOR TENNIS CENTERS,
POOLS, COMMUNITY CENTER, YOUTH CENTER, AND PLAYGROUND
PROGRAMS FOR THE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT (COMMISSION
MEMORANDUM NO. 605-86 ) TO PROVIDE FOR A PERMIT HOLDER NIGHT
HOURLY RATE OF $1 . 00, EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 18 , 1987 (TENNIS PERMIT FEE)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, that effective February 18 , 1987 there is hereby
established a new fee schedule for night usage of holders of
tennis permits of $1. 00 per hour.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT COMMISSION MEMORANDUM No. 605-86 , be
amended to read ( with respect to hourly court fees) as follows:
COURT FEES
Permit Holders - Per person per hour
Night rate $1 . 00
Non-Permit Holders - Per person per hour
Day rate $2 . 00
Night rate $2 . 50

SUBJECT: ESTABLISHMENT tF $1.00 NIGHT TIME COURT RATE FOR TENNIS MEMBERSHIPS
Currently Tennis Memberships provide the member unlimited
daytime use of the Tennis Center at Flamingo Park or North
Shore Park for an entire year. Due to the increased cost of
operation at night (i.e. lighting) members wishing to play
at night presently are required to pay the night time hourly
court fee of $2.50.
In an effort to make Tennis Memberships more attractive it
is proposed that a $1.00 per hour per person fee be
established for members. This change would increase the
members flexibility of usage while still covering the
increased cost of night time usage.
This proposed change has been before the Sports Committee
and has received their unanimous support.
ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATION
It is the Administration's Recommendation that a $1.00 per
hour per person night time court rate be established for
Tennis Memberships.
