SUBJECT: G.O. Bond Oversight Committee Motion
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission ("LTC") is to provide an update regarding a motion
made during the March 25, 2020 G.O. Bond Oversight Committee meeting.
Members present: Karen Rivo (Chair), Jason Green (Vice-Chair), Jack Glottman, Carmen
Browne, Laura Veitia, Francisco Diez-Rivas
Non-Voting members present: Jason Koslowe, Bryan Rosenfeld, Sean Smith, John Bowes
MOTION:
The Committee made a motion to expeditiously execute the planning, design, and
construction of any voter-approved G.O. Bond project, and as required by City
Code and consistent with the City's Urban Forestry Master Plan, proceeding to
remove, relocate, or reestablish any palm and/or other tree while making every
effort, consonant with those projects, the Code and the Master Plan, to preserve
palms which are iconic to Miami Beach's culture and history.
