Resolution 2021-31694 RESOLUTION NO. 2021-31694 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING ALINA T. HUDAK AS CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, EFFECTIVELY IMMEDIATELY; AND FURTHER, DIRECTING THE ACTING CITY ATTORNEY TO NEGOTIATE THE TERMS OF THE CITY MANAGER'S EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT, FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION AT ITS MAY 12, 2021 CITY COMMISSION MEETING. WHEREAS, on April 21, 2021, following a national search, the Mayor and City Commission unanimously appointed Alina Hudak as City Manager of the City of Miami Beach, to be effective immediately, on April 21, 2021; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to provide certain benefits and to establish certain conditions of employment for Alina Hudak in her capacity as City Manager; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission directed the Acting City Attorney to negotiate the terms of the City Manager's employment agreement, and to confer with the Chair of the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee regarding the proposed terms, with the final agreement subject to approval by the Mayor and City Commission at the May 12, 2021 City Commission meeting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission hereby appoint Alina T. Hudak as City Manager of the City of Miami Beach, effectively immediately; and further, direct the Acting City Attorney to negotiate the terms of the City Manager's employment agreement, for consideration by the Mayor and City Commission at its May 12, 2021 City Commission meeting.
