A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 2020-
31500 AND RDA 654-2020, SETTING THE DATES FOR THE YEAR 2021
CITY COMMISSION AND MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
MEETINGS, BY RESCHEDULING THE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2021
CITY COMMISSION, MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, AND
NORTH BEACH COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEETINGS
TO FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2021, TO ACCOMMODATE MIAMI-DADE
COUNTY,AS THE COUNTY'S BUDGET HEARING HAS BEEN CHANGED
TO SEPTEMBER 14, 2021.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.04 of the Miami Beach City Charter, the City
Commission shall meet at such times as may be prescribed by Ordinance or Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, on November 18, 2020,the City Commission via Resolutions No. 2020-
31500 and RDA 654-2020 set the dates for the year 2021 City Commission and
Redevelopment Agency (RDA) meetings, and
WHEREAS, subsequently thereto, Miami-Dade County changed one of its budget
hearing dates to September 14, 2021, which is the date the City had previously set for its
first FY 2022 budget public hearing; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to F.S. §200.065 (2)(e)2, the hearing dates scheduled by the
County Commission and School Board shall not be utilized by any other taxing authority
within the county for its public hearings, and
WHEREAS, as a result, it is requested that the Tuesday, September 14, 2021 City
Commission Meeting, Redevelopment Agency, and North Beach CRA meetings be
changed to Friday, September 17, 2021 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby amend Resolutions No. 2020-31500 and RDA 654-2020, setting the
dates for the year 2021 City Commission and Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency(RDA)
meetings, by rescheduling the Tuesday, September 14, 2021 City Commission,
Redevelopment Agency(RDA), and the North Beach Community Redevelopment(NBCRA)
meetings to Friday, September 17, 2021 , to accommodate Miami-Dade County, as the
County's budget hearing has been changed to September 14, 2021 .

RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the Resolution.
ANALYSIS
Pursuant to Section 2.04 of the Miami Beach City Charter, the City Commission shall meet at

Commission via Resolutions No. 2020-31500 and RDA 654-2020 set the dates for the year
2021 City Commission and Redevelopment Agency (RDA) meetings. Subsequently
