SUBJECT: 6" Street Gym in Lummus Park
The purpose of this L TC is to notify the City Commission that the Parks and Recreation Department
has completed the installation of our newest outdoor gym on 6" Street, in Lummus Park.
A total of 13 devices have been installed, including eight strength machines, two bodyweight
stations, two card io machines and an outdoor punching bag. The equipment is made to withstand
any climatic conditions, and the patented Variable Load System (VLS) allows users to change the
weight without removing the plates from the machine.
The eight strength machines include:
1. Chest Press
2. Shoulder Press
3. Seated Dips
4. Pulldown
5. Squat Machine
6. Deadlift
7. Seated Row
8. Multibar
The two bodyweight stations include:
1. Ab Bench & Hyperextension
2. Combined Exerciser 3 in 1 (pull-ups, dips, leg-lifts)
The two cardio machines include:
1. Elliptical Trainer
2. Upright Bike
The outdoor gym was generously donated to the City by StreetBarbell USA, by way of resolution
2019-31060, and further compliments the other high quality fitness amenities found in Lummus
Park.
